Monster 1 : Harley Davidson

This is the first of a series of motorcycle helmets I designed for my senior thesis at PNCA. The design is based off of a creature I made that I felt embodied the spirit of the 1949 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide. While not a new model, it was revolutionary in that Harley-Davidson came out with the iconic Panhead engine to replace the cast iron Knucklehead engine that had served the company for nearly a decade, as well an all new hydraulic front suspension. The bike was loud, mean, and couldn’t help but be noticed; my helmet design only amplifies that bombastic personality so well loved by Harley riders.
